Plagiarism

Manuscripts submitted to this journal will undergo procedures to investigate possible plagiarism prior to being sent for blind peer review.

Revista Coletivo Cine-Fórum seeks to comply with criteria of originality of the published works and proper acknowledgment of the sources of the ideas presented. Therefore:

  • An initial analysis of the submitted material is carried out using plagiarism-detection software;

  • If irregularities such as plagiarism or the use of artificial intelligence are identified, the manuscript will be automatically rejected.

If any form of plagiarism or the use of artificial intelligence is confirmed in a text that has already been published, the journal reserves the right to remove the text from its system.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suspicions of plagiarism must be reported to the editors, who will carry out verification and collect evidence, considering the extent and nature of the identified copying.

In cases of lesser severity—such as the occasional use of short excerpts, without improper appropriation of data—the author will be contacted to make the necessary corrections and informed of the journal’s position. Those who reported the suspicion will also be notified of the measures adopted.

In cases of clear plagiarism, characterized by the extensive reproduction of texts and/or data presented as original, the author will be formally notified, receiving the evidence collected and a copy of the originality statement previously signed. The author will be required to provide explanations to the editors.

If the response is considered adequate, the author will be advised regarding editorial standards and expected conduct. Otherwise, the manuscript may be removed from the editorial process or unpublished, and the matter will be communicated to other involved outlets, the responsible institutions, the injured party, and readers.

In the absence of a response, the editors will attempt to contact co-authors and/or the author’s affiliated institution. If silence persists, further attempts will be made within three to six months, and other competent authorities may subsequently be contacted.
