Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
Authors must carefully observe the guidelines below for manuscript submission:
1. Only submissions prepared using the official Journal template, with all formatting fully preserved (available for download), will be forwarded for evaluation. After acceptance and editorial revision, the author must submit the English and Spanish versions of the text within a maximum period of 30 (thirty) days, which is an indispensable condition for publication. The translations will undergo quality control and, if they do not meet the required standards, the article will not be published until the necessary corrections are made. The English and Spanish version must be submitted using the same template, with references prepared in accordance with APA standards (available here).
2. Articles must be between 12 (twelve) and 20 (twenty) pages, typed in Word or RTF format, on A4 paper, with top, bottom, left, and right margins of 2.5 cm. The font must be Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and a 1.25 cm indentation on the first line of each paragraph.
3. The abstract must be single-spaced, justified, in Times New Roman, size 11, and contain between 150 and 200 words. The use of the word count tool in the text editor is recommended. Keywords must number from three to five, capitalized, and separated by periods.
4. If the manuscript results from a previous presentation at academic events (congresses, seminars, symposia, among others), this information must be indicated in the “comments to the editor” field at the time of submission. Papers previously presented at events that have not undergone substantial revisions will not be accepted.
5. Each submitted article must include an abstract in Portuguese and in English.
6. In-text citations must follow the format: AUTHOR(S)’ SURNAME, year, page(s).
7. Bibliographic references must be presented at the end of the text, in Calibri font, size 12, single-spaced, justified alignment, and in accordance with ABNT standards.
Example: ANDRADE, Mario. Introdução à Metodologia do Trabalho Científico. 9.ed. São Paulo: Atlas, 2009. Um autor
8. References in the English and Spanish version must strictly follow APA standards, according to the manual available for consultation.
9. Authors are responsible for keeping their biographical data up to date in the journal system metadata, in accordance with the established standard.
10. During the submission process, the following precautions must be observed:
a) Bibliographic data and authorship information must be entered exclusively into the journal system, in the user profile, and not in the file submitted for evaluation.
b) Any and all elements that may allow identification of authorship must be removed from the manuscript, including references, footnotes, and self-citations, replacing such information with the expression: XX [removed for double-blind review purposes]. Author identification must occur only through the submission system.
11. Each submission may have a maximum of five authors. Authorship implies public and shared responsibility for the content of the manuscript.
12. Authors declare awareness that, in case of acceptance, they must submit the translated versions in English and Spanish within 30 days, at no cost to Revista Coletivo Cine-Fórum. Failure to submit the translations authorizes the journal to temporarily remove the article from its website until the English version is available.
13. Articles must contain between 12 and 20 pages, as specified above.
14. Essays and reviews must be between 8 and 12 pages long, in Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing, in accordance with the journal’s guidelines and following ABNT standards.
